Hand-blended teas inspired by nautical adventures.Born from a spark of curiosity and the quiet hum of imagination, STEAM Nocture Voyages was created by an 10-year-old Sea Cadet inspired by his visit to HMS Warrior, the historic ironclad ship that once ruled the waves. His love for English Breakfast Tea, the steady pulse of steam engines, and the dream of faraway adventures merged into one vision — a tea brand that celebrates invention, exploration, and wonder.

The name STEAM reflects both his fascination with steam power and the creative partnership between him and his sister, who together imagined a world where every cup of tea carries the spirit of discovery.

The poetic subtitle “Nocture Voyages” captures those imagined evenings at sea — when the sunset fades, stars awaken, and the ocean’s rhythm invites reflection. It is in those moments, with tea in hand and the scent of salt in the air, that ideas are born, courage stirs, and new horizons call.

Rafael's Story

Crafted with passion by a young sea cadet, celebrating voyages.

Inspired by ships, engines, and the quiet rhythm of invention, he treats every tea like a laboratory experiment — blending, testing, adjusting, and observing how even 1 % can change everything.

Just as one small spark can power a great engine, a single pinch of lavender or a drop of vanilla can transform an entire cup.
Too much of one element, and balance is lost — a lesson shared by both chemistry and life at sea.

These teas are his experiments in harmony: a mix of science and soul, curiosity and craft.

How It All Began

It all began in my mum’s cupboard.
She’s always had dozens of teas — neat jars filled with colours, leaves, and little bits of the world. She loves to mix them, but her favourite has always been English Breakfast. My grandmother also like to pick flowers, leaves, roots, and dried them.

One day I asked her to make her a cup. The first kettle boiling was exciting. I didn’t follow her exact recipe — instead, I picked a few teas and made my very first blend. She also let me have just one sip of the English Breakfast at the time.

As I grew older a year or two, I was finally allowed to make my own cup, as long as I didn’t brew it too long ''a quick dip'' my mum says. That’s how I learned my first tea lesson:

The longer it brews, the stronger it gets — and too strong is never good before bedtime.

That small rule became the start of my curiosity about balance, timing, and creation. My mum also has a special timer for her teas — three tiny glass tubes filled with sand. At first, I had no idea what that strange device was. Later, I realised each sand clock measures a different brewing time.
Now, every blend I make carries that same care — just enough flavour, just enough imagination, and always made with love (and my mum’s approval).
